Transition Lubricant Stick animal fat to synthetic lubricant

The MCT Brattberg Lubricant Stick is used to improve the water and gas tightness of cable and pipe penetration systems by lubricating the rubber parts. Lubricant must be applied to all Lycron components and surfaces. Currently, the MCT Brattberg Lubricant Stick is based on pure beef tallow or a synthetic lubricant.

MCT Brattberg will be phasing out our lubricant made from animal fat and moving entirely to a synthetic lubricant solution. The final date for deliveries of the animal-based lubricant will be October 31st, 2025.

This change is being made to:

Simplify global import and export, as animal-based products often create cultural and regulatory challenges.
Ensure consistent quality and performance, which is easier to guarantee with synthetic formulations.

The new synthetic lubricant provides the same reliable functionality you expect from MCT Brattberg products. At the same time, the change offers greater stability in the supply chain, as the new product meets uniform standards worldwide.
